BharatBenz's Slogans & Taglines

BharatBenz is a brand of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly owned subsidiary of German manufacturer Daimler Truck AG. The name fuses "Bharat" (India) with "Benz," symbolising a synergy of Indian market insight and German engineering. Daimler entered India in 2008 through a joint venture with Hero MotoCorp, which dissolved in 2009, leading to the formation of DICV under full Daimler ownership. The brand was unveiled in February 2011 and commenced operations in September 2012, launching a comprehensive range of medium- and heavy-duty trucks from 9 to 55 tonnes. In 2015, BharatBenz expanded into buses with school and staff models. Produced at the Oragadam, Chennai plant—Daimler's only global facility manufacturing four brands under one roof—its vehicles combine Mercedes-Benz and Fuso platforms with localisation for Indian conditions. Embodying the motto "Power Ahead", BharatBenz has delivered over 200,000 trucks and exports to more than 70 markets worldwide.
