JSW Cement Limited was incorporated on 29 March 2006 in Mumbai as a subsidiary of the JSW Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in steel, energy, and infrastructure. The company was born from a strategic vision to utilise blast furnace slag—a by-product of JSW Steel—to produce eco-friendly cement, reducing carbon emissions while creating value from industrial waste. Its first manufacturing unit was commissioned in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, in 2009, followed by rapid expansion across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Odisha. In August 2025, the company launched its IPO on Indian stock exchanges, cementing its position as one of India's fastest-growing green cement manufacturers.

The brand's core products are green cementitious materials, including Portland Slag Cement (PSC), Portland Composite Cement (PCC), Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS). It also produces ready-mix concrete (RMC), construction chemicals, and waterproofing compounds under brands such as Concreel HD and Compcem.
