Gloster Furniture's Slogans & Taglines

Gloster Furniture traces its origins to 1960 in West Africa, where a group of passionate entrepreneurs and furniture makers began crafting wooden furniture for local market consumption. Realising their craftsmanship could reach beyond the continent, they soon began exporting to Europe. In the early 1970s, increased demand and access to plantation-grown teak led the company to move its factory to Indonesia. In 1981, the Gloster brand was formally established in Bristol, England, as a specialist manufacturer of teak garden benches and seats. In 1992, new owners took over and consolidated manufacturing at the company's own factory in Indonesia, where it remains today. By the late 1990s, Gloster had diversified into aluminium, stainless steel, and woven materials, cementing its position as a global leader in luxury outdoor furniture.

The brand's core products are luxury outdoor furniture and garden furnishings, including teak dining sets, modular lounge seating, sun loungers, outdoor lighting, and accessories. Its portfolio spans iconic collections such as Grid, Bora, Lima, and Ambient Cocoon, designed in collaboration with world-renowned designers including Henrik Pedersen, Cecilie Manz, and Sebastian Herkner. All teak is sourced from carefully managed, FSC-certified Indonesian plantations.

From its earliest days, Gloster has embraced the philosophy that "outdoor furniture is as important a style statement as indoor furniture." The brand carries the enduring promise "Our aim is your pleasure – to be enjoyed in countless special moments outdoors," reflecting a journey from a small West African workshop to one of the world's most respected names in luxury outdoor living.
