Quikr is an Indian online marketplace and classified advertising company founded in 2008 by Pranay Chulet and Jiby Thomas in Bangalore. Initially launched as Kijiji India, an eBay subsidiary, the platform was rebranded as Quikr in 2008 following investment from Matrix Partners India. The company operates across over 1,000 Indian cities, enabling users to buy, sell, rent, or discover products and services spanning mobile phones, electronics, automobiles, real estate, jobs, and education. Its core verticals include QuikrBazaar for pre-owned goods, QuikrHomes for real estate, QuikrCars for automobiles, QuikrJobs for recruitment, and QuikrServices for local service providers. The platform has pioneered innovations such as the Missed Call service for non-internet users and QuikrNXT for privacy-protected messaging. In July 2015, Quikr unveiled a refreshed brand identity anchored by the slogan "Aasan hai badalna" (Change is easy), reflecting its mission to empower aspiring Indians to transform their lives through accessible, convenient digital commerce.
