Gianni Versace S.r.l. traces its origins to 1978, when Gianni Versace founded the house in Milan, opening his first boutique on Via della Spiga. The brand swiftly became synonymous with bold glamour, baroque prints, and the Medusa head—an emblem inspired by Gianni's childhood in Reggio Calabria that symbolizes mesmerizing beauty and power. The pivotal 1989 debut of Atelier Versace at Paris Fashion Week established its haute couture credentials.
