O'Charley's is an American casual-dining restaurant chain founded in 1971 by Charles "Sonny" Watkins on 21st Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee, across from Vanderbilt University. Originally a single neighbourhood restaurant, it was acquired by David K. Wachtel in 1984 and developed into a multi-state chain renowned for Southern hospitality and hand-crafted American cuisine. The menu spans steaks, seafood, burgers, and Southern favourites, alongside award-winning signature pies including Double-Crust Peach, Southern Pecan, and French Silk. The brand's popular Free Pie Wednesday promotion has become a signature guest-engagement tradition. In 2012, O'Charley's was acquired by Fidelity National Financial and became part of American Blue Ribbon Holdings, now known as Restaurant Growth Services.
