AOC International (trading as AOC) is a multinational electronics company with origins tracing back to 1934, when Ross Siragusa founded the Continental Radio and Television Corporation in Chicago, Illinois—later renamed Admiral Corporation. In 1967, Admiral Overseas Corporation (AOC) was established in Taiwan as the first manufacturer of colour television sets for export. The company was renamed AOC International in 1978 and began direct sales under the AOC brand name in 1979, with global trademark registration completed in 1982. In 2005, AOC was acquired by TPV Technology, a leading manufacturer of LCD monitors and televisions. Core offerings today encompass a comprehensive range of display technologies including LCD monitors, LCD TVs, digital signage, commercial large screens, LED displays, all-in-one computers, and smart conference tablets. In 2016, the company launched the AGON gaming monitor sub-brand, named after the Ancient Greek word for "struggle" or "contest," which has become a leading force in esports. Brand messaging has evolved from the 2009 rebranding platform Envision the Difference to the enduring slogan Vision at Heart, reflecting a commitment to placing users at the centre of product innovation. Today, AOC is recognised as the number one monitor brand in the Asia-Pacific region by market share, with products sold in over 120 countries worldwide.
