Chex's Slogans & Taglines

Chex is an American breakfast cereal brand that has transformed simple grains into a pantry staple and snack-time icon for over eight decades. Originally introduced by the Ralston Purina Company in 1936 as Shredded Ralston, it was rebranded as Rice Chex and Wheat Chex in 1950, establishing the distinctive checkerboard shape that became its signature. The brand's cultural breakthrough came in the 1950s when the iconic Chex Mix recipe began appearing on boxes, turning breakfast cereal into a beloved party snack. In 1997, Chex made gaming history by including Chex Quest in cereal boxes, distributing over 5 million copies. Now manufactured by General Mills, the brand offers nine varieties including gluten-free options, guided by the philosophy of keeping things simple and honest with no artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup. From morning bowls to holiday party mixes, Chex remains a symbol of American versatility, wholesome simplicity, and the enduring magic of a cereal that transcends the breakfast table.
