Wyke Farms's Slogans & Taglines

Wyke Farms traces its origins to 1861, when Ivy and Tom Clothier began making cheddar on their Somerset farm using a secret family recipe that remains locked in a safe to this day. From this modest farmhouse dairy, the Clothier family has grown the operation into the United Kingdom's largest independent cheese producer, crafting over 18,000 tonnes of award-winning cheddar annually from milk sourced within a 50-mile radius of their Bruton dairy. The portfolio spans Mature, Vintage, and Extra Mature cheddar alongside Red Leicester and artisan butter, including the pioneering Ivy's Reserve line—the world's first carbon-neutral cheddar and butter. Sustainability runs through every wheel: the farm generates 100% of its energy from solar and biogas, saving 20 million kilos of CO2 annually. The brand's voice has evolved from the pastoral promise "Made from nature by nature" to the 2024 rebrand declaration "England's Cheddar Makers," asserting four generations of cheesemaking heritage while embracing a net-positive future.
