Leon's's Slogans & Taglines

Leon's Furniture Ltd. is one of Canada's largest furniture retailers, founded in 1909 in Welland, Ontario by Ablan Leon, a Lebanese immigrant who began as a factory worker and door-to-door salesman before opening the A. Leon Company dry goods store at 244 King Street, later converting it to furniture sales. When Ablan died in 1942, he left the business to his children, who expanded across Southwestern Ontario and into Toronto. The company went public in 1969—renaming itself Leon's Furniture Limited—and pioneered Canada's first warehouse showroom in 1973. Core offerings today include furniture, mattresses, major appliances, and home electronics, sold through more than 50 corporate and franchise stores nationwide plus three Appliance Canada showrooms, employing over 10,000 associates. Slogan evolution includes All the savings you can carry (mid-1970s), It's All About Trust (2004–2016), and Part of the Family (2016–present), alongside the centennial line Making Canadians Comfortable Since 1909. In 2013, Leon's acquired rival The Brick for $700 million, strengthening its position as a family-controlled Canadian retail leader.
