SeaFrance was a French ferry company wholly owned by the French national railway operator SNCF. Founded in 1996 as the successor to SNAT (Société Nouvelle d'Armement Transmanche), it commenced operations on the Dover-Calais route following the dissolution of the Sealink pooling agreement with Stena Line. Headquartered in Calais, the company operated a fleet of passenger and freight ferries including the Rodin, Berlioz, and Molière, offering up to 15 daily return crossings. It was the largest private employer in Calais and the only French-owned operator on the short sea route. Despite fleet modernization and retail innovation, the company faced sustained financial losses and industrial unrest. On 9 January 2012, the Paris Commercial Court ordered its liquidation, ending 16 years of operation.

Core services included passenger vehicle transport, freight haulage, and onboard retail.
