Corporación Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) is a Venezuelan state-run television broadcaster founded on August 1, 1964, as the private channel Cadena Venezolana de Televisión (CVTV). Originally established by the Wollmer Group and Cuban entrepreneur Goar Mestre with technical support from CBS, it was nationalised by the Venezuelan government in 1974 and renamed Venezolana de Televisión. Today, VTV operates as the country’s principal state-owned television network, broadcasting 24 hours a day with nationwide coverage via the nation’s largest microwave relay network. Its programming centres on news, political coverage, current affairs, and cultural content, serving as the official information channel of the Venezuelan government.

Brand messaging has been anchored since nationalisation by the enduring motto The Channel of All Venezuelans (El Canal de Todos los Venezolanos), reflecting its mandate as a public-service broadcaster.
